Delifrance: My Secret Santa

My online friend, u8mypinkcookies, sent me this in the mail a couple of weeks back... and it is one of the most touching gestures I have ever received this Yuletide Season. And somehow, it helped jumpstart the season for me this year.

I decided to finally claim my treat when they were giving out the Choco Chip Almond Biscotti.

My pretty pretty biscotti treat, finally!

Thanks, Bianca. And yes, Merry Merry Christmas....

Gmail Themes

I was happy that Gmail has come up with themes for their email accounts. It was getting pretty boring really using the same interface day after day after day. But now, Gmail has lots of themes that you can choose from to make your gmail account brighter and prettier!

Chocolat

I have heard so many raves about Chocolat cakes and I wanted to find out the truth for myself. So, off we went to Mall of Asia one Sunday to try it out. I was pleased to find that Chocolat has its own place and isn't just a booth in the mall.

Cozy bright interiors... perfect for that relaxing unhurried afternoon munch with a friend...

Chocolat has a wide array of cakes you can choose from. It was tough trying to pick just one for that day. Good thing everything is available by the slice or whole.

I ordered two slices of Death by Tablea to go. One for me, and one for my hubby.

Wow, now I need not wonder what all the rave is about. This is surely one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever had... Hubby loved it too!.... soft and moist... with just the right amount of chocolatey sweetness... with that perfect kick of the pinoy tablea in every bite...

I would surely be back and I would love to try the rest of the Chocolat cakes.

Movie Night: One True Love

This is probably the only movie I have seen about amnesia that ended the way it did, and I liked it. The lead actor returns to his one true love, still in a state of amnesia, because that is what his heart is telling him to do... what can be more romantic than that.... proving that love, when true, can come more than once in a liftetime with that one true love....
..... and that love is not just a memory; it is not just in the mind but in the heart.

Manila Post Office

I have to admit, this was my first time to step into the Manila Post Office building in Lawton. And it was an amazing trip for me that day to be right inside the national landmark that I have admired only from afar.

... massive walls and pillars.... superb architecture.... high ceilings... intricate interior design.. wide spaces and corridors... it was awesome! A work of art, indeed!

An information booth greets you at the entrance.

Even the view from the inside looking out was just overwhelming for me that I had to shoot my camera away!

I wasn't quite impressed with this new addition to the structure though. But I took shots anyway...

Definitely, the Manila Post Office is one of the structures that the country should be proud of. It is landmarks like this that we should cherish as part of our national heritage. Let us love it and preserve it.

Savory: The Classic Chicken

I grew up knowing only three chicken houses in the Metro... Max's... Aristocrat... and yes, Savory! And it is great to note that all three have stood the test of time and are still very much around today.

And now, even my old time favorites have invaded the malls as well! We were happy to find Savory restaurant right in Mall of Asia.

Although the interiors was bright and cheerful, it was a bit cramped and crowded so we just opted to order to-go.

I like their fold-up box for take-out orders.

Every bite off this chicken was like a blast from the past... same old taste, same old chicken goodness we have grown to love about Savory.

... same old gravy/sauce...

The pancit canton was the perfect partner for the chicken... it was some dinner we had that night!

What are you waiting for! Grab that leg and enjoy!

Jag Studio Online

This is truly amazing.... it is called the Jag Studio.... it truly is like going to a real photoshoot and making your own portfolio! It is an online photoshoot with Marian Rivera or Will Devaughn for Jag...

Take their photos as they pose and model for you! Watch them move and play with the camera while you shoot at their every turn and pose! Really, what can be more amazing than that!

But the fun doesn't stop there. See your actual proofs and shots.... choose your prized ones and layout your portfolio just the way you want to... and voila! Your own Jag Black Book!

Here are screenshots of my book... and here is the link to my actual online Jag Black Book...

... the book cover...

.... my first page .... i even got to add my photo and name on the page ...

Two pages that I did the actual layout by choosing from among the shots I did!

I got to choose my Centerfold...

... and my last page with credits from Jag....

.... back cover of my black book....

This site is surely one of the coolest I've ever tried! All amateur photogrpahers out there will surely love this! It is one awesome online experience for me!
P.S. I gotta get myself a pair of Jag soon! Jag rules!
