a Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante, MOA

After a good dining experience at a Veneto in BF Homes, we decided to try their branch in Mall of Asia next. And still, a Veneto Pizzeria made us satisfied yet again!

What if he likes tomatoes and you don't? What if you like anchovies and he doesn't? Well, that is what I love about this pizza place... you can order your pizza by the slice and need not agree to just have what he is having.

So, I had my anchovies and garlic, he had his tomatoes and peppers... both over melted cheese topped over thin and crispy dough, made fresh each time.

There are other items on the menu we are surely going to try next time. And still, if nothing works for you on the menu, you can just create your own pizza. It can't get any better than that, can it!

Bacolod Chicken Inasal

We used to eat chicken inasal at Bacolod Chicken Inasal in their Greenhills branch and enjoyed it each time. It has been a while since, so we were so happy to find a branch in Robinson's Otis where we frequent, too. So, my hubby and I ordered a petso meal each for take-out.

The box has the usual neatly wrapped cup of rice, the toyo, the calamansi and the petso, of course.

Maybe it was just the branch, or maybe because it was ordered To-Go, but we didn't quite enjoy the meal when it was served at home. The chicken wasn't as tasty and wasn't cooked through very well... It still had that 'inasal' taste to it but it didn't work for us that time.

Maybe I'll stick it out with Inasal Bacolod Chicken for now.

Bastille Cafe

Bastille Cafe
I am not a coffee drinker so one would wonder what I was doing in Bastille Cafe along Dona Soledad Avenue in Better Living, Paranaque. Well, I'd have to admit that it was the WiFi sign that lured me in. I wanted to try it

The place is small but cozy, bright, cheerful and definitely not cramped.

Choose from the many coffee concoctions they can make for you.... and pair it off with that moist and soft slice of cake of your choice from their many creations.

They have a lot on their menu, actually, from sandwiches to pasta dishes and even dinner specials. It was just the hot chocolate for me that time. But I would definitely be back for more.
Oh, and the Wifi?.... fast and glitch-free... no fuss log-in... no need for access codes or passwords... just turn on your gadget, connect and your online!

a Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante

Blogged
Good food and great price... tough combination. But a Veneto Pizzeria Ristorante has managed to do it. Great Italian cuisine that is not heavy on the pocket.

The moment you step into the place, it is easy to see that it used to be a home that has been converted into a restaurant... it still has that homey comfy feel.

What I liked about a Veneto is that their pizza can be ordered by the slice! And their slices are big... a complete snack in itself for the not-so-hungry.

We tried our favorite pasta... pesto with chicken... the pasta was good. The chicken slices weren't bad either. But I would have preferred the slices grilled than coated and fried.

We left a Veneto full and ready for next-time. We would surely be coming back for seconds.
