Chicken Charlie

The first time we tried Chicken Charlie,   we immediately liked it and knew then that  it was the double deep fried chicken for us.
                                       Chicken Charlie
The Chicken Charlie branch we visited was the one in Amoranto Street in Quezon City.  Although the place was a bit cramped,  it was bright and clean;  service was fast.

Chicken Charlie
Our chicken wings were served hot and crispy.   The pieces were perfectly fried to a crisp and we liked its sweet salty flavor.   And a big plus for Chicken Charlie is that the meat part of the chicken didn't lose its flavor and moisture.  It wasn't dried out from all that double frying it had to go through.

And as promised,   the chicken wasn't oily,  messy nor soggy.

The place suggests you try the Bundaberg sarsaparilla with their chicken for an even greater tasteful experience.   But with or without this,   I am quite sure that your Chicken Charlie trip would be a delight for your tummies.

Kopiko's Kopiccino

This is probably the closest and fastest thing you can get to a cappuccino in an instant.

Kopiko has made cappuccino easier to do right in your own home.  Instant cappuccino powder that easily dissolves in hot water then topped with cocoa granules that come with it in a smaller sachet.

Verdict...  taste is not bad at all.   It even smells great!  For the price,  how could anyone complain.

Cha Dao Tea Place

IMG_0422
I finally tried Cha Dao tea place,   a booth that I often pass by at SM Bicutan whenever I do my weekly grocery.
The entire set up is pretty much like any other tea parlor that you see everywhere in the Metro.    The 'vending' machine...  the wide bore plastic straws that are pointy on one end...  the plastic glasses in different sizes...  and the long menu listing the various flavors the tea drinks come in.    I guess it would just all come down to the taste.

I tried the bestselling Wintermelon cream with nothing in it;  no sago,  no nata.  Just the tea blend.    It was cold.  Not too sweet.  Well blended.  Filling.  Tasted healthy.
But I guess I am a hot tea drinker afterall.  Next time,   I would really stick to chocolate flavor.  If there would still be a next time at Cha Dao,  that is.

Meet My New Sonny Angels

Meet my new Sonny Angel dolls!   I got them as pasalubongs  from my brother in law who recently went on a HK trip.   Surely,  they can't get any cuter than these!
IMG_3339
They are tiny bare bottomed angels about 3 inches in height made of smooth sturdy rubbery/vinyl material.  Of course they have tiny wings... and yes,  the come in different colorful and truly fun headgears.

If only they're locally available,   collecting them would be easy.   But they aren't.   It would be so much fun to have all them series to add to my Pinky St. collection!
