Trust Red Ribbon to come up with a new twist to the ensaymada we have always known. Yes, it is grilled, drizzled with confectioner's sugar and topped with a small scoop of whipped butter.
Cut through the lightly browned and crusted top to reveal the luscious spongy ensaymada goodness we are all so familiar with.
This is one good meryenda treat. A taste of the old with a welcome new twist.
as i have said, yummy yummy yummy!
ReplyDeletesyel, actually, i havent been blogging this kahit ive been eating this noon pa. pero when i found out na this is the same ensaymada na naka pack from theem, yung regular, naaliw ako. i toast lang pala, new variant na sha!
ReplyDeleteme naman, i seldom reheat ensayamada & the likes (like choco/ banana loaf, marble slice, etc.).. :) mas gusto ko kainin cold, straight from the ref! haha ewan ko why. :)
ReplyDeletebiancs, actually, ako din. i prefer my pastries and other desserts chilled. kaya i was suprised na nagustuhan ko tong Grill Ensaymada ng Red Ribbon. pleasant twist! haha...
ReplyDeletecraving for one now....
ReplyDeleteThe first time I heard of grilled ensaymada was at Amici's. Then Mary Grace's and now Red Ribbon. Ang sarap talaga kasi yung cheese melted.
