Cadbury Assortment

Round things for the new year to let the moolah in! This chocolate candy tray is another special treasure we got last Christmas. Anything Cadbury is a treat for us. We just love the way its chocolate melts in the mouth, creamy and smooth.
Bite into each ball and be surprised with either a whole almond, brazil nut, hazelnut or raisin covered and enrobed in thick dairy milk chocolate! Only Cadbury can make it this good!

Ah, Cadbury, truly a chocolate lover's one true love.

Mary Grace Ensaymadas

This red box is probably one of our favorite presents we got last Christmas; a very welcome food discovery for the new year.

The box contains half a dozen of individually wrapped ensaymadas that may look quite ordinary.

But unwrap one tiny package of Mary Grace ensaymada and you will surely be taken for a gastronomically delicious ride! There is definitely nothing ordinary about it!

Fresh, soft and almost melting in the mouth, moist and with just the right amount of sweetness, topped with grated cheese .... (which to my guess, would be quezo de bola?)

Finish one piece and you would definitely crave for another. And in our case, we definitely did.... crave for another box!

Happy Holidays!

The holiday season of 2008 is probably the most busy one I have ever had in my life to date with almost 20 balikbayan guests over for the holidays, plus a golden wedding anniversary to prepare for my inlaws!

Everyday was like a celebration cum family reunion! My blogging and flickr-ing had to take a backseat for a while, thus this very much delayed Yuletide greetings for everyone! But like they say, it is still way better to be late than never.

So to all my blogging friends and guests whom I have missed so much, a belated but nevertheless heartfully felt Merry Christmas and may we all have a blessed new year ahead!

And yes, despite our busy schedule, we made sure a drive-thru at Krispy Kreme wasn't missed.
