5th Generation Ipod Nano

This is my first Apple gadget ever. My first bite. And I love it! When they said this was the thinnest mp3 player ever, they weren't kidding.

Selecta Gold Series

These are two of my favorites among the Selecta's Gold series of ice cream. They have just the right amount of creaminess and sweetness with huge chunks of strawberry strawberries and chocolate truffles blended in to give you the perfect scoop each and everytime! They truly deserve to be called frozen delights!

Nokia Bluetooth Headset

IMG_1627IMG_1630
I had to get one. Driving and talking on the mobile phone at the same time is a very dangerous combination.. And a good headset like this spares me from that.

IMG_1631IMG_1632
It is light and comfortable. And very very easy to use. Just pair it with your mobile phone once and they get paired each time you turn it on automatically. Battery life is great. And easily adjustable if you want to use it on either ear.

A must in every car, if you ask me.

Recipes

The facade was inviting... the interior was clearly cozy as seen from the outside... so we decided to try Recipes at Robinson's Manila.

Prices were reasonable. Servings were big enough for sharing. Service was good.

The food, however, failed to wow me. It was good but there wasn't anything special going on there.

Magic Jack

Whoever invented this little thingie is a genius! It is small and easy to use. Just plug it into your usb port when online, jack a phone into it, and dial! It is truly that simple!

For $20.00 a year, you get to be in touch with friends and relatives in the U.S. as often and as long as you like! The best thing about it.... it works!

Holy Cow Steak Ranch and American Grill

It was our first visit to Holy Cow, SM North Edsa branch. I love the interiors. Very cozy, very bright, spacious and clean.

We were a group of 4 that day and ordering for each was not easy. Well, at least we agreed on starters... Potato croquettes and Caesar's salad...

We decided to get the All-Meat Wholly Ranch Platter.
Honestly, the food was just alryt... There wasn't anything out of the ordinary in the taste and presentation; nothing special, really. Will we go back? Maybe, maybe not.

Luck Garden Seafoods Tea House and Restaurant

It is another good find here in QC; not easy to find but definitely worth the trip.

Spacious interiors... large tables... relatively fast service.. and free tea.

First came the refreshments and the appetizers. Yes, they do serve a japanese inspired dimsum... interesting, eh!

Then came our Hototay soup... hot and delicious.

Our Chinese restau maintstay would have to be the Yang Chow fried rice, Fish fillet,

Fried Chicken and Pancit Canton...
Everything was how we want our Chinese food to be.

Nestle From Russia

A friend gave me a bar. Her Dad had just arrived from a trip to Russia and he had these and more for pasalubongs.

I looked closer at it and realized that it is unmistakably Russian made because I couldn't understand a single word written on the wrapping!

Yes, they do make Neste chocolates in Russia, too. And you know what? It is just as delicious!

Red Ribbon: Not Just About Cakes

Red Ribbon has always been known as a bakeshop... a cake haven... a sweet shop. Yet I always find myself in the store, enjoying a meal that is anything but sweet! These are the dishes that make Red Ribbon more than just your neighborhood bakeshop.

.... their Cheesy Lasagna is meaty and saucy...

... their Dinuguan... the puto on the side will be missed. Last time I wanted this, I was told that their puto has been phased out.

Their newest addition is the Garlic Chicken with Mushrooms... rolled chicken fillet stuffed with minced mushrooms, breaded and fried to a crisp! A personal favorite!

Their Salisbury steak is always a delight... slathered with that special mushroom gravy, with corn and carrots on the side plus mashed potatoes...

Their Pan Grilled Chops is my favorite among them. The serving has gotten smaller and smaller, though, but the timpla that I have gotten to like has not changed.
