Range Murata Pinky

Meet Nazuna, Mayura and Caine. They are the three gorgeous Pinky dolls in the Range Murata series which took me many many months to complete.

The girl's costumes were designed by Renji "Range" Murata , a Japanese artist and designer, known for his unique style combining Art Deco and Japanese anime elements.

Nazuna was the last one I bought. Each one came with two interchangeable costumes and lots of accessories all designed by Range either in gray, black or white.

They can't get any cuter than these girls, can they!

My pinky collection welcomes the RMP series!

Crisis by Robin Cook

I visited Booksale the other day and I found a new book from one of my favorite authors, Robin Cook, and I am so excited to start this. His medical thrillers always keep me on the edge of my seat.

Even Pucchi is excited to start Crisis.

Pizza Hut Bistro

Oh yes, this combo platter is from Pizza Hut.... which now has bistro outlets around the metro..... great ambiance, more interesting food choices and with fast efficient service.... but most of all, the prices on the menu are amazingly affordable!

BBQ Ribs, Tropical Shrimps, Onion Rings, and Steak Fries... my personal favorite?.. it has to be the onion rings...

This pretty dish is the Crab Salad Roll...

Nutritious, healthy and need I say delicious? Crabsticks, cucumber and lettuce wrapped in rice paper served with sesame soy dressing.... I'd gladly this with every visit to the bistro.

And now, their entree...

I had the BBQ ribs... pork ribs glazed in bbq sauce served with rice and a side serving of mixed vegetables. ... pretty good... a bit salty, but good.

We also tried the Shrimps with Rice and Sides (left), mildly sweet and spicy garlic sauce also served with rice and vegetable sidings, and, their Roast Chicken with mango glaze (?)...

Impressive... we were satisfied and happy with our lunch. And we would definitely be back. We have to try their mouth watering desserts next time.

It was a totally new Pizza Hut experience...

Philippine Internatinal Flora & Fauna Garden Expo 2008

I can't believe I almost forgot to blog about this! This year's PIFGEXpo was held in July at the World Trade Center. For a minimal fee at the registration, you are given the chance to be taken closer to paradise in the city with this year's theme, "Bringing Back Nature".

Get surrounded by beauty everywhere you turn.... plants.. flowers... landscaping...

... wild ones, cute ones and even scary ones! (Thanks to Avilon Zoo for participating in this year's exhibit and sharing their animals with us.)

And for the serious enthusiasts, there are lectures scheduled during the entire exhibit.

I am glad I went to the exhibit this year. It was a trip that took me close to nature right in the heart of the city.

Amici

It is always a pleasant and delicious experience whenever we go to Amici for some dose of real Italian food treat. The place is spacious, bright and cheerful. Though everything is do-it-yourself , (from ordering your food, to getting your own glass of water with ice, to fetching your own spoons and forks and even condiments ) the staff and crew are fast and friendly.

One of the reasons we keep coming back to Amici is their pizza. The crust is just heavenly; the toppings are very flavorful and delicious, and the pizza sauce completes that real authentic Italian kick. Brick-oven-baked, Amici pizzas are truly one of the best I've had. Whether you ordered one with meat toppings, or meat and veggies or even just plain cheese, which by the way is my favorite, it is perfect pizza each and every time.

Another reason why we couldn't stay away from this food haven is their gelato! Three trips in two weeks, there must be something really amazingly creamy and delicious in these scoops of frozen delights!

... chocolate with nuts.... and the one with fruits...

.... the one with mango and the one with strawberries, oh, so good!

.... stracciatella (vanilla with nuts) and blueberry.... Mon and I enjoyed this pair most!

It was such a delight to see all those choices of flavors of gelato available each and every time.

We had a pasta dish to-go... which by the way is another great reason to keep tripping back to Amici. If their pizza and their gelato are that good, how can their pasta not be, too! Sorry, their pasta was so good I forgot to take a photo the second we tore open the foil....

Every trip to Amici is worth it. Lots to try on the menu, great food, big servings and easy on the pocket. I haven't even raved about their lunch specialties, soups, desserts and paninis yet and I am already thinking of going back.

Rice In Color

I went to Market Market to buy rice at my suking bigasan. It has been a while since I last visited and I was suprised at how much their store has expanded.

There were a lot more varieties available!

Not only were there more varieties available, they also came in various colors and color combinations!

I have yet to try these colorful B-herb coated rice. I never knew rice came in such various colors!

I would definitely be going back to my suking bigasan sooner than I planned.
