TOSH Revisited

My first visit to TOSH went very well. So it's not surprising that a follow up visit was bound to happen. My mother in law and I had lunch at TOSH in Robinson's Otis last month and I was excited to try the other items on the menu. Though the place is quite small, it has the same TOSH feel to it.

The salad and the soup....
The clam chowder was alright. Nothing special, Just alright.... so was the Ceasar's salad with grilled chicken. I wasn't really jumping up and down. I guess the serving was just too konti. It was a bit bitin for me. Plus, i think the add-on grilled chicken in the Ceasar's was sliced too thinly.

We had the Fish Fillet Amandine with lemon butter and almond sauce served with garlic rice and nachos on the side. I was never a fan of lemon thus ordering this didnt turn out to be such a good idea. Next time, I really would stick with the pasta dishes. Afterall, it is a pasta place.

Tropical Hut

I always thought that it used to be just a burger chain. Then I read somewhere that before it even became one, it used to be a grocery store way back in the 60's, making it one of the oldest, if not the oldest burger chains in the country.

And now, it is not just about burgers anymore.

The delightful burgers will always be there... those patties that made them famous.... now in many different styles and topped with all kinds of veggies and sauces!

Their underrated spaghetti is one of my favorites. Timplang pinoy... sweet and topped with hotdog bits, just the way the kids want it.

Experience their burger patties with rice presented a la burger steak.

Choose from other rice dishes on the menu...

The Spring Chicken was Kokoro's instant favorite! It is mine too! Suprisingly good and cooked really well, through and through. Sarap to the bones din....

The fruit salad for dessert is pretty good too. They didn't scrimp on the cream, the fruit bits are chunky enough, and it is not too sweet. End your meal with a gulp of an iced soda to complete your lunch.

Movie Night: Caregiver

Saw this the other night. It wasn't great, but it was ok. It was a bit boring in some parts; scenes were dragging, but overall, it was a good watch.

My Other Favorite TV Series

When I am in the mood for a good serious tv viewing at night, I just pick from these shows and I am guaranteed an hour or two of well spent leisure time in front of the tube.
