I saw this displayed by the counter the other day and decided to try one. Rolls are packed individually in plastic pillows just like their other small items. I had mine served with a glass of iced water.
A thin stick of cheese inside a roll of sweet bread... true to its name. I wish it had more cheese, though.
It is similar to Mulach's Megamelt Cheese Ensaymada in taste with just the right sweet-saltiness in every bite. However, they are also similar in texture, one quality of the bread I didn't like much in both brands. The bread part is too soft and too moist. Almost too chewy like it needed several more minutes in the oven.
I find one serving bitin. For the hungry, one piece would definitely be not enough. Two will do.
new product? i still miss the loaf size banana bread.
ReplyDeletepinkcookies, parang bago lang. i saw it just recently eh. i miss the loaf sized banana bread, too. sulit kasi than buying several small packs eh.
ReplyDeletei've suddenly thought of ensaymada, and now i'm hungry! pero i think this serving is way too small for my appetite! haha!
ReplyDeleteSYEL, you got it right. ang liit nya. i ate two in a row, and i was not even that hungry. eh di lalo na kung gutom ako nun! hahaha...
ReplyDeletenice photos! hope you can join Yummy Sunday and share these yummy photos! :)
ReplyDeleteDoes it have cheese from end to end not just in the middle?
ReplyDeletePerfectly Blended, thanks, and thanks for dropping by... btw, what is Yummy Sunday?
ReplyDeleteWiggletoes, may cheese naman from end to end... but i find it too payat. bitin sa cheese...
ReplyDeleteI miss everything red ribbon! :( lalo na may cheese!
ReplyDeleteMIRAGE, this one is like their ensaymada.. modified. same taste, same ingredients, i guess. but i like the ensaymada more. mas well baked yung bread nya. this one's dough is parang hilaw kaya it is chewy.
