Tong Yang Shabu Shabu Restaurant

Tong Yang Buffet
The buffet rates may have gone up since the last time we have been there, but it is good to know that the food choices and the quality have not changed.

I had so much on my plate already that I wasn't able to try their meat slicing station where you can get your meat cut up to your liking. Maybe next time.

The best part for me was still the grilling part where I got to dump in everything I got from the buffet into the smokeless grill and cook them in tons of butter to my desired doneness! (Go easy on the butter, though.) A pot of broth of our choice was given and brought to a boil on our stovetop where greens and meats and fish may be cooked, too, but I always prefer the griller to that.

All kinds of sauces are there to make your food even tastier and more delicious.

A meal would never be complete without dessert. You can either make your own, or pick your choice.

Tong Yang remains to be a great place to dine in.

  1. This is probably the best branch (Makati) of Tong Yang. Their other branches are not as clean and new-looking. Their food is good but I do think they should improve their sauces! Some people aren't too fond of their sour and salty sauces.

  2. Matt See, this branch we went to is in Megamall, sa new wing. so it is fairly clean and new. maybe we can try the Makati branch next time.

youre right. i am not fond of the sour and saulty broths. actually, i only go for the pan grilled stuff. ayaw ko ng shabu. :))

    thanks for dropping by, Matt!

  3. I noticed most buffet places in Metro Manila do not have sneeze guards to protect the food from micro organisms coming from a person's mouth. This thing is not expensive to install and I can not understand why they do not put one.
