I love corn. Corn is so versatile you can almost find it anywhere... corn muffins... corn soup... cornflakes... cornmeal... corndogs... cornbread .... maja blanco... popcorn... corn chips... mais con yelo....

But for me, the best way to enjoy corn is the traditional way... on the cob!

  3. I love corn to teeny tiny bits too! When I eat boiled corn, I make sure na maraming melted butter, cheese powder and some salt :P (Di naman ako mahilig sa maalat?)

BUT although I love corn, I don't enjoy the whitish type of it.

  4. ay! bianca! i thought you wrote boiled corn in corned beef! ay sus! what was i thinking! hahaha... labo na mata ng lola...

madz, ako din, i like the yellow sweet corn variety... but i eat mine plain. hala ka, may butter na, may pampaalat pa! bad yan! hahahaha..
have you tried the japanese corn? medyo artificial yung sweetness nya pero truly sweet. kaso, walang juice yung cob.. kaya parang fake.

  5. Oo nga eh di kaya ako magkasakit sa bato nun? :P

Re: Japanese corn, BF and I were in a taxi ride once tapos nakwento ng driver na minsan may nasakay syang mga hapon, huminto sandali kasi may nakitang mais, tapos nung nakabili na sila nag reklamo raw hindi naman Japanese corn yun. Don't know how true this is, in fact I'm not even sure talaga if there's a Japanese variety bili lang ako ng bili haha.

  6. madz, parang genetically altered yata yang japanese kuno na variety... wala talagang juice yung cob nya... pero matamis. bili din lang ako ng bili. kain lang ng kain, hehehe...

  7. I love corn, anyway it is prepared. Sometimes I just put it in the microwave and it is good to go.

  10. dito, syel, as usual, readily available ang mais.. may naglalako nung mga may balat pa... meron naman yung nabalatan na and packed in two's and three's... and sa malls, uso na din yung in a cup na ang kernels...
i prefer the ones with balat pa.
