The national flower of the Philippines, the Sampaguita. I saw this by the side of the road and I had to stop and take a shot because though I often see the buds strung together into leis and garlands, I do not often see the it like this.
What can I say about the Sampaguita? Well, it is white, it is tiny, and it is fragrant. One can probably read so much about the Sampaguita online, but until you actually smell the heavenly scent this tiny flower has, you wouldn't know why it is our national flower.
Very interesting perspective, Gita.
