MBarriatos

Barbecue has always been my favorite. It is a mainstay in parties, picnics, potluck get-togethers, or any kind celebration. It is great with rice, with bread, with spaghetti, pancit, or even alone.

But not all barbecues taste good. I want mine sweet, not too tangy, tender and cooked just right. Along Dona Soledad Avenue corner France St. is where I get my perfect barbecue everytime I want one. MBarriatos. This street stall cooks barbecue just the way I want it.

And for the more daring customers, MBarriatos offers more. Simply pick out what you want from their various treats and just let Manong heat it up and grill it for you up to your desired doneness!

...... 'balat'.... my next favorite to pork barbecue. thin slices of pork skin stripped off its fat.... chewy but tender when cooked ....

...... 'tenga'..... chewy, gritty, a bit too fatty for me... but not bad.

...... 'isaw'.... it is innards. I have not mustered enough guts to try this just yet, but they say it is mighty good...

....... 'balunbalunan'..... it is gizzard. I think I will also pass on this one.

..... and this tops them all! the 'laman'..... thin slices of tender meat with just the right amount of 'taba' at the end, marinated and perfectly grilled! at only P15. a stick, it is the barbecue to beat.

  2. Wow. I think we Filipinos are really barbecue eaters because it seems barbecue stands are everywhere!

One of the best that I have tasted is R. Lapid's along South Super Highway. I think you will find their phone number in the yellow pages.

  4. nina, uwi ka na kasi... tagal ka pa? miss ka na ng lahat. sige ka, walang street barbecue dyan. ;-)

Bugsybee, we havent tried Lapids along SSH... but since it is along our way, we might give it a visit one time.
yea, we start young... most kids' parties ive been to have bbqs and skewered hotdogs served! ;-)

docchef, MBarriatos is in paranaque. it is along the main road of Better Living Subdivision. there is nothing special about the place... just your average street bbq stand... but the taste is pretty good. ;-)

  5. It's hard to find good BBQ. My favorite is a BBQ stand along Aurora Boulevard. When I get to pass by the area, I make sure I have some to take home.

I like Reyes BBQ and Aristocrat. Especially with peanut sauce.

I'm not very adventurous so I've never tried the other stuff.

  10. Sayang ang layo sa amin. Wala kaya silang branch in Quezon City?=)
My favorite barbecue is in Isabela Province. Haha, ang layo. It's in the palengke lang but it tastes like aristocrat. For more accessible barbecue, I like Ineng's.=)
